Japan Exposed Their Supermodel Robot HRP-4C

Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology brought to the public their latest supermodel robot, HRP-4C.
HRP-4C may be not as graceful as Cindy Crawford but this talking and walking girlbot can do the catwalk with some other models.
HRP-4C which cost about $2 million is 158 cm and 95 lbs. She is a dark-haired creation, dressed in black and silver and is said to be between the ages 19-29.
This battery-powered humanoid has 30 motors in her body for her to be able to move her arms and feet. She has 8 facial motors for her to smile, blink and express emotion similar to surprise and anger. Thus making her to do the walk and pose of models.
The face of HRP-4C is manga-inspired. It smile and pout according to commands that is transmitted via Bluetooth device. Also sometimes she mixed up her facial expressions because of the sleet of camera shutters that obstructed her sound recognition sensors.
Shuki Kajita, head of the team that made HRP-4C said that this is just their first step. For in the next 20 years, they will make a robot that can imitate the movement of a real model.

Woah CREEPY! Creepy but cool, japn has done it again with creating very cool robotics, but with a $2 million dollar price tag it better be made out of gold, lol
. I wonder when the USA will come out with something similar?

This is really amazing, they seem to be improving robotics by leaps and bounds. Now if they’d just make one that’s affordable for me to do the chores on the farm I’d be really happy.
Thank you for the article, I did enjoy it.
