I have a fairly new Dell Inspirion 1525 laptop and am running Windows Vista SP1?
Allen H asked:
All of a sudden the screen went black and I have tried shutting it down and bringing it back up several different ways including in diagnostic mode and the error code that comes up means "The Microcontroller is handing control of the system to the processor. This code will persist if there is no processor detected." Is there any way that this is a Vista error or does anybody know of any other remedys to the problem? Any help would be great. Thank you.

Sorry mate I’ve been running Vista for 18mths & never had an error message like that, try the store you bought it from or search Microsoft help. Good luck
