What Movie is this? I am looking for a movie I saw years ago?

It was about a woman who buys a male robot. The male robot is to help around the house. To be somewhat like a house keeper. She can hook him up to the computer and program his skills and change his personality. After awhile she gets romantically involved with the male robot, but dose not like the way he obeys every thing she says and is strictly to server. So she programs him to be more like a real person and think for himself. At first she is happy with the male robot behaving more like a real man but soon it be comes dangerous. I don’t remember what happens but would love to know the name of it or who was in it so I can look it up. If any one remembers seeing this movie please let me know what you remember. It sounds like Bicentennial Man.
One of Robin Williams best performances – and very moving.

Yeah, it’s Bicentennial Man. It has Robin Williams in it. Its a pretty cool movie.

The Companion (1994) (TV)
SUMMARY:
In the near-distant future, a female romance writer (Kathryn Harrold) is planning to write her next book in a remote mountain cabin. A friend convinces her to bring along a “companion”, a nearly-human android to cook and clean. She settles on a male companion named Geoffrey (Bruce Greenwood, most recently the President in “National Treasure: Book of Secrets”). Bored with some of Geoffrey’s behavior, she tinkers with his programming — first his personality, then his sexuality. Real trouble comes when she gives his mind access to “random data.”
The rest of the cast has some very good character actors:
Talia Balsam (She’s the daughter of Martin Balsam and Joyce Van Patten.)
Brion James (best known as one of the renegade Replicants in “Blade Runner”)
James Karen (who played a robot gone haywire in “Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster”)
Earl Boen (the older head doctor in “Scrubs” TV series)
Tracey Walter (You’d know him if you saw him!)
Wow! I didn’t realize I’d seen this movie till I read your description about a dozen times. Then, I knew it just about had to be “The Companion”.
