Army’s Robot-Man Walks Like the Real Thing
A few months back you might recall seeing a robotic mule video, by Boston Dynamics. It was an amazing display of of a four legged mule walking over very difficult terrain with ease. It would even stay upright when violently shoved by one of the technicians.

Robot-Man Walks Like the Real Thing
Well Boston Dynamics has revealed a robot that walks around like a real human being. It's truly incredible. The company is building the "Petman" prototype for the U.S. Army in order to test protective clothing.
"Petman will balance itself and move freely; walking, crawling and doing a variety of suit-stressing calisthenics during exposure to chemical warfare agents," says Boston Dynamics. "Petman will also simulate human physiology within the protective suit by controlling temperature, humidity and sweating when necessary, all to provide realistic test conditions."
This robot walks heel to toe, just like a human being, and is able to stay upright even when shoved. It's really an amazing leap forward in biped technology.
