Pleo: The Charming Baby DinoBot

You would love to have one! Pleo is Ugobes little dinosaur robot that may replace your pet. It is one of the many robots that adapts to its environment.
Unlike other interactive robots, Pleo responds to its environment by the sense of touch. It is enabled to walk, run and waggle its tail by the numerous touch sensors and motor actuators placed in the parts of its body that's commonly touched by humans, as they would do to their own live pets.
Pleo is an autonomous robot form based from a 1 week old baby Camarasaurus dinosaur. It can see, sense your touch, and detect objects using a color camera, sound sensors, 2 infrared sensors, 14 motors, over 100 gears, 8 touch sensors, and an orientation sensor. Using all of these, allows Pleo to mimic life and think, act and develop a unique personality independently based on his experiences with you and the world around him.
When you want to have another pet that won't bite you or your little kids (if you have), you can enjoy Pleo's charming and adorable personality. See Pleo in action below.
